AC Schnitzer Gives the New BMW X3 a Bold, Performance-Focused Makeover

German tuning powerhouse AC Schnitzer has worked its magic on the latest BMW X3, giving it a meaner, more aggressive look—even though there’s no full-blown M version (yet).

The fourth-gen X3 only hit the scene last year, but AC Schnitzer wasted no time putting its spin on the SUV, dubbing it the "X3 G45 by AC Schnitzer." With a legacy of high-performance BMW upgrades dating back to the legendary E30 M3 and even the quirky i3, the tuner has now turned its attention to the X3, joining its current roster of modded models like the 5 Series and M2.

Sticking to its performance-first philosophy, AC Schnitzer has decked out the X3 with aerodynamic tweaks that actually improve downforce. Starting with the M Performance trim, the upgrades include a polyurethane front splitter, side wings, skirts, and a roof spoiler for a more planted look.

The SUV rides on 19- to 22-inch alloy wheels, pushed out 10mm per side for a wider, more aggressive stance. A lowering kit drops the suspension by up to 25mm, tightening up the handling and giving it a sleeker profile.

Out back, the lack of visible exhaust tips suggests this is the 2.0L four-cylinder diesel model (confirmed by a subtle badge). But don’t worry—AC Schnitzer has teased that a version of this kit is "in development" for the 392bhp M50 variant, which could become the hottest X3 on the market since BMW isn’t planning an X3 M anytime soon.

Inside, the upgrades continue with aluminum pedals, a sporty footrest, an iDrive controller cover, and even a custom key holder that slots neatly into a cupholder.

Pricing for the full package hasn’t been revealed, but when you factor in the £54,540 starting price of an X3 20d M Sport, the total could easily creep toward £60,000.
