Koenigsegg has unveiled its most radical hypercar to date—the Jesko Sadair’s Spear, a track-focused beast that remains road-legal. Joining the high-speed Absolut and the circuit-oriented Attack, this new variant pushes performance even further with aerodynamic and mechanical upgrades. But first, the story behind its unique name.

Christian von Koenigsegg named the original Jesko in honor of his father, Jesko von Koenigsegg, who was an avid jockey. The Sadair’s Spear pays homage to the horse Jesko rode in his final race back in 1976. While this special edition drops the "Jesko" badge, the car’s lineage remains a heartfelt tribute to Christian’s father.

Aerodynamic Aggression & Power Boost

Building on the Jesko Attack, the Sadair’s Spear features a more extreme aerodynamic package, including a double-blade active rear wing and extended rear bodywork for optimized airflow. The redesigned air intakes enhance cooling, ensuring peak performance on the track.

Under the hood lies Koenigsegg’s twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8, now tuned to deliver 1,300 hp on standard fuel—20 hp more than the standard Jesko. Opt for E85 ethanol blend, and output skyrockets to 1,625 hp, a 25 hp increase over the regular model.

Lighter, Faster, Sharper

Koenigsegg engineers shaved off 77 pounds by removing sound insulation and using lighter components, bringing the dry weight down to just 2,910 pounds. Exclusive carbon-fiber turbine wheels further reduce unsprung mass, while wider Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires (275/35/20 front, 335/30/21 rear) provide exceptional grip. For those seeking maximum traction, an optional Cup 2 R tire upgrade is available.

The hypercar’s carbon-ceramic brakes have been upgraded with high-performance pads for stronger stopping power. Combined with the weight savings and aerodynamic tweaks, the Sadair’s Spear slashed the Jesko Attack’s lap time at Gotland Ring by 1.1 seconds.

Track-Focused, But Still Luxurious

Inside, the cabin retains some comfort features like wireless charging and USB connectivity, but Koenigsegg also offers six-point harnesses (where legal) for serious track use. With 5.7 pounds of sound-deadening material removed, the hypercar is louder—music to any speed enthusiast’s ears.

Exclusive & Already Sold Out

Bad news for collectors: all 30 units of the Sadair’s Spear have been claimed. Koenigsegg revealed the car privately, and buyers instantly snapped up the entire production run.

This hypercar isn’t just another iteration—it’s Koenigsegg’s most extreme, blending race-ready performance with just enough civility to remain street-legal. A true tribute to speed, heritage, and engineering brilliance.
