AC Schnitzer Takes the New BMW M5 to the Next Level – 799 HP & Track-Ready Upgrades
AC Schnitzer just dropped a monster upgrade for the latest BMW M5 (G90 saloon and G99 Touring), pushing power to a staggering 799 horsepower—way up from the stock 727 HP. While they haven’t released exact torque or acceleration figures yet, the standard M5 is already a beast, with 737 lb-ft of torque and a 0-62 mph time of 3.5 seconds.
But this isn’t just about brute power. The package includes a full aerodynamic body kit with a rear wing, front canards, and sculpted side skirts—giving the M5 a more aggressive look while boosting downforce. The result? A car that looks like it’s ready to dominate both the track and the street.
What Else is New?
Exhaust: A 110mm stainless steel system with a deeper, more aggressive roar.
Suspension: Lowered by 20mm for sharper handling.
Wheels: Lightweight AC6 forged alloys (stunning but curb magnets—drive carefully!).
Interior: Machined aluminum pedals, a custom footrest, and iDrive controller cover for a more premium feel.
How Much?
Pricing isn’t final yet, but expect a hefty premium over the M5’s £111,000 starting price (£113K for the Touring).
Performance & Engineering
AC Schnitzer is aiming for 810 HP eventually, all while keeping reliability intact (yes, it comes with a warranty). The dual-mode exhaust features four carbon tailpipes, so it’ll sound as good as it looks.
Handling & Aero Upgrades
Suspension: 20mm drop for better cornering.
Aero Kit: Front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and an optional wing for extra downforce.
Wheels: 21-inch AC6 forged alloys in natural aluminum or gloss black, with a staggered setup for max grip.
Interior Tweaks
Aluminum accents on the pedals, footrest, and iDrive controller add a sporty, high-end touch.
The Verdict?
This package doesn’t just make the M5 faster—it transforms it into a track-ready beast with the looks to match. AC Schnitzer proves once again that they know how to balance power, style, and real-world usability.
