Pagani’s Huayra Codalunga Speedster Is Here—Roof Off, Stick Shift In
Pagani just proved the Huayra isn’t done yet. Meet the Codalunga Speedster—a jaw-dropping, open-top, long-tail hypercar with a manual transmission and a heart stolen from the Utopia’s monstrous V-12. If you thought Pagani had moved on, think again.
Remember the Huayra Codalunga coupe from two years ago? Only five were made. Now, the Speedster version is doubling down—well, sort of. Pagani’s building just 10 of these road-legal masterpieces, with deliveries kicking off next year.
Horacio Pagani himself calls it a tribute to those who see sports cars as "timeless symbols of lightness and motion." And honestly? The design backs that up. The Codalunga ("long-tail" in Italian) takes inspiration from 1960s endurance racers like the Porsche 908 LH and Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/2—low, lean machines built to dominate Le Mans. At 193.3 inches long, it’s over a foot lengthier than a standard Huayra, with curves that scream vintage speed.
But here’s the real kicker: you can get it with a stick shift. Pagani only just reintroduced manuals with last year’s one-off Huayra Epitome, and now the Speedster gives you the choice between a 7-speed manual or a sequential gearbox. Either way, it’s hooked up to Pagani’s twin-turbo 6.0L AMG V-12, pumping out 864 hp and 811 lb-ft—same as the Utopia.
The styling? Less carbon-fiber overload, more retro elegance. The cabin features a cool embroidered pattern mimicking Pagani’s signature quad exhaust, plus mahogany trim on the steering wheel and shifter for that old-school racer vibe.
Of course, this comes from Pagani’s Grandi Complicazioni division—because a "normal" Pagani just isn’t rare enough anymore.
We asked if all 10 are already spoken for. No reply yet, but let’s be real: they were probably sold before these photos even dropped. Can you blame the buyers?
