A Legendary McLaren Collection Hits the Market—One of the Greatest Ever Assembled
The late Mansour Ojjeh wasn’t just a McLaren insider—he was a driving force behind the brand’s rise to greatness. Now, his jaw-dropping private collection of McLaren road cars is up for sale, offering a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own a piece of automotive history.
Ojjeh, who became a McLaren shareholder in 1984, played a pivotal role in shaping the company into the F1 titan and supercar icon we know today. After his passing in 2021, his meticulously curated garage—possibly the finest McLaren road car collection in existence—is finally being offered to collectors.
A Tribute to a Visionary
Dealer Tom Hartley Jnr. reveals that Ojjeh was instrumental in funding the legendary McLaren F1—now the star of his collection. This isn’t just any F1, though. It’s the 106th and final example ever built, finished in a bespoke Yquem Orange paint (later renamed "Mansour Orange" in his honor)—a color reserved exclusively for him.
But the F1 is just the beginning. The collection is a who’s-who of McLaren’s rarest modern masterpieces, including:
McLaren Sabre
Speedtail
Senna
Elva
P1
Every LM and LT variant ever made
While many wear the signature Mansour Orange, others stand out with head-turning finishes—like the Senna in bare carbon fiber with yellow and green accents, or the 675LT Spider in exposed carbon with orange highlights. Nearly all are mint-condition, with the F1 showing just 1,810 km (1,125 miles) and the P1 GTR having seen only light track use.
From Ferrari Collector to McLaren Legend
Ironically, Ojjeh started as a Ferrari enthusiast, even selling parts of his collection to help launch McLaren Automotive. Today, his McLaren lineup stands among the most impressive ever assembled—rivaling even the brand’s own heritage fleet.
Given Ojjeh’s deep ties to the McLaren F1’s creation, this sale isn’t just about rare cars—it’s about owning a piece of motorsport royalty. Expect global interest and serious bids when these machines find new homes.
