One of the most impressive private collections of McLaren road cars is now up for sale, assembled by the late Mansour Ojjeh—a key figure in McLaren’s rise to prominence. Ojjeh, who acquired a stake in McLaren in 1984, played a crucial role in shaping the brand into the Formula 1 powerhouse and supercar manufacturer it is today. Following his passing in 2021, his extraordinary collection is being offered to buyers, potentially making it the finest assortment of McLaren road cars ever curated.

A Tribute to McLaren’s Legacy

According to dealer Tom Hartley Jnr., Ojjeh was instrumental in funding the legendary McLaren F1, which now stands as the crown jewel of his collection. This particular F1—the 106th and final example ever built—boasts a unique Yquem Orange paint, later renamed "Mansour Orange" in his honor, a shade exclusively reserved for him.

The collection also features the last-produced models of some of McLaren’s most exclusive modern vehicles, including:

  • McLaren Sabre

  • Speedtail

  • Senna

  • Elva

  • P1

  • Every LM and LT variant

While many of the cars are finished in Mansour Orange, others showcase striking designs, such as the Senna in exposed carbon fiber with yellow and green accents, and the 675LT Spider in bare carbon with orange highlights. Most of the vehicles remain virtually untouched, with only the F1 showing 1,810 km (1,125 miles) and the P1 GTR having seen limited track use.

From Ferrari Enthusiast to McLaren Icon

Interestingly, Ojjeh initially collected Ferraris before selling his holdings to help establish McLaren Automotive. Today, his McLaren collection stands as one of the most remarkable in existence, rivaling even the company’s own historic F1 archive.

Given Ojjeh’s pivotal role in the McLaren F1’s creation, this sale presents a rare opportunity for collectors to own a piece of automotive history—one that’s sure to attract serious bids from enthusiasts worldwide.
